Ersatz jalapeno bread is my new favorite--made with special French accented Mexican peppers. Doesn't get any better than that, Camille:)

And I am with you on the whole bacon-makes-everything-better thing!

Loulou - Merci beaucoup!

hungry dog - We have tons of leftovers, but I don't know how well they'd fare in the mail! ;)

Sam - It is a great winter dish, and you can really stretch out the expensive ingredients with the beans. We're probably going to end up getting about 4 dinners for two out of it.

I did miss the savory bread pudding at our table. But as it was a pilot for my real trial of recreating Thanksgiving dinner, in Germany, for New Year's Eve, I think I will throw it in to impress the parents :)

Thank you Camille! Now I actually have to get back to writing :) And, really, canned corn is the only solution 10 months of the year... and is delicious.

Looks incredible. I love cassoulet and will often order it when given the chance. Having never been to France, I can only imagine what real, homemade cassoulet would be like. I'm dying for a bite of yours.

I like the sound of that herbed turkey salad--delicious! Somehow we didn't end up with that much leftover...we ate a rerun dinner once and that was it. Wish I had a bit more left for salad of miso soup...
